## Synopsis

Pitch Meetings (2017) is a US online comedy series created by Ryan George for YouTube. Ryan George plays Screenwriter Guy, a writer who walks executives through absurdly unrealistic pitches for well known movies and television shows. Each short episode is a sketch-style parody built around the awkward, overconfident theatre of the pitch meeting, where a single idea gets stretched into a comically strained premise. The engine of the series is the gap between how polished a finished film or show looks and how bizarre its origin must have sounded in a conference room. The run is a single short episode, so the format is a one-off comedic bit rather than a continuing story. Tone is breezy, sardonic and deadpan, with the satire aimed at Hollywood development culture rather than at any one property. Fans of Brickleberry, Mystery Science Theater 3000 and 30 Rock will find a similar appetite for industry-savvy parody and quick, self-contained absurdity. The result is a light, fast watch for anyone who enjoys sketches that poke fun at how entertainment gets made.
