## Synopsis

Dandelion (2026) is a Japanese animated comedy-drama series produced by NAZ and released on Netflix, adapted from a manga. At an afterlife agency where angels guide lingering souls, the offbeat caseworkers Tetsuo Tanba (voiced by Chikahiro Kobayashi) and Misaki Kurogane (voiced by Megumi Han) take on whatever challenge each spirit presents, trying to help the dead find peace in their own unconventional way. The engine of the show is the caseworkers' improvised methods, which turn each soul's unfinished business into a short, self-contained story. Principal supporting voices include Mamoru Miyano as Seiki Kyōkawa and Kazuhiko Inoue as Daigorō Kyōkawa, who add lively friction to the agency's daily work. Across its seven brisk episodes of roughly 28 minutes, the series moves between irreverent humor and quieter emotional moments, offering a gentle, bittersweet look at grief and closure. Its tone is deadpan and warm rather than morbid, and its afterlife bureaucracy gives it a playful, whimsical texture. Fans of Mushishi and Mononoke will find resonance in its supernatural folklore and tender treatment of the dead, while viewers who enjoy offbeat comedy with heart will feel at home in its single-season run.
