## Synopsis

Red Alert (2025) is an Israeli miniseries created by Ruth Efroni and Lior Chefetz for Keshet 12. Across four episodes of roughly 44 minutes each, it follows ordinary people in southern Israel whose lives are upended when a terrorist invasion turns their communities into a war zone. The ensemble includes Bat Sheva, played by Rotem Sela, Liat, played by Rotem Abuhav, Nofar, played by Chen Amsalem, and Kobi, played by Israel Atias, with Hisham Suliman as Ayub. The drama moves from an ambush at an open-air music festival to a family's last stand inside their home, so the tension comes from getting through each hour alive, staying hidden, and protecting the people nearest to them. Its engine is immediate survival rather than long mysteries, and the story is contained within a single day of chaos rather than spread across years. The register is harrowing and urgent, with grief, fear, and fragile solidarity carrying the emotional weight. Viewers who appreciate Chernobyl's grounded handling of a real national catastrophe, the civilian focus of Band of Brothers, and the intimate suspense of The Night Of will find a similar resonance here. It is a short, concentrated limited series that treats its real-world trauma with seriousness.
