## Synopsis

The Lie We Lived In (2026) is a South Korean neo-noir romantic thriller miniseries created by Son Tae-gyum and Jeong Min-seong, released on wavve. Across eight half-hour episodes, a contract killer, played by Kim Seung-beom, keeps a kidnapped target hidden in an ordinary home while maintaining a cover identity. His carefully built lies begin to unravel once he falls for the police detective hunting the truth behind the abduction. Kim Kyung-min plays the figure whose fate is bound to the hideout, and Lee Jung-ho and Lee Seung-noh add pressure from the investigation side. Each episode is built from tense cat and mouse encounters, close quarters cohabitation, and the constant threat of exposure. The tone is intimate and suspenseful, with moody, rain-soaked nights and a steady undercurrent of longing. Fans of Killing Eve and Mr. Sunshine will find resonance in its blend of romance, danger, and moral ambiguity. Viewers who enjoy a compact, character-driven thriller with a bold queer love story will find much to savor in this sleek, emotionally charged Korean series.
