## Synopsis

Hired to Obey (2025-2026) is an American romantic drama series with a 58-episode first season and a returning order. Kaitlin Sanders plays Emma, a shy, modest young woman who will take any job she can find because she needs money to save her sister's life. She lands work with Tyler Scherer's David Watkins, a rich and famous photographer whose cold, strict manner hides secrets of his own, while Joe Anselm as Micheal and Hauke Bahr as Steward Lampard orbit the household and its routines. Each episode tightens the tension between their clashing worlds, as the power imbalance of employer and employee simmers into something more charged and dangerous. Its appeal lies in the push and pull of small favors, guarded glances, and a steady drip of revelations about the photographer's past. Set in the present-day United States, the show is a tense, intimate slow build of class divides, secrecy, and quiet longing, a soapy but grounded workplace romance. Fans of Ugly Betty, Maid and Bridgerton will find resonance in its blend of working-class stakes, glamorous household power, and emotionally heightened romance.
