## Synopsis

Olivia (2026) is a Spanish family comedy-drama series created by David Troncoso and Flipy for Disney+. Pablo Chiapella plays Mario Rey, the country's most famous weatherman, who must seek refuge from a media storm with his daughter Olivia, played by María Schwinning, in his father's olive grove. The engine of the series is the awkward distance between them: Mario and Olivia have not spoken in thirty years, and returning to his roots means facing the family he left behind while the press still hunts him. Nancho Novo appears as Tomás Rey, the father whose grove becomes the stage for old wounds and quiet reconciliation, with Kira Miró as Nuria Melián and Fernando Tejero as Óscar Muro adding further complications to the household. The series is a short six-episode run, a single season that unfolds as one continuing story rather than a case-of-the-week format. Its tone is warm and wry, with sun-bleached rural rhythms, gentle humor and a rising undercurrent of emotional honesty. Themes of celebrity exile, reconciliation and the pull of home drive each episode. Fans of Parenthood and Vergüenza will find resonance in its blend of family tenderness and sharp social comedy, set in the rural Andalusian countryside of present-day Spain.
