## Synopsis

Viral Hit (2026) is a Japanese six-episode limited series created for Netflix and adapted from a webcomic. It follows Kota Shimura (Ouji Suzuka), a bullied high schooler whose unexpected viral video makes him an overnight sensation. Aki Yashio (Ai Mikami) and Kaho Asamiya (Meru Nukumi) orbit his new public life, while Toru Kaneko, known as Kanegon (Araki Sugou), and Yugo Kuwata (Yusuke Iseya) represent the pressures and loyalties that surround him. Miyuki Shimura (Mieko Harada) anchors the home life he must protect. The engine of the story is simple and concrete: a shy student gets noticed for a single clip, then discovers that attention from strangers and classmates can be just as cruel as the bullying he already endured. Each episode of roughly fifty minutes pushes him toward the moment he has to stop absorbing humiliation and start standing up for himself. The tone is tense and raw, with a bruised, defiant energy in the vein of The Glory and Euphoria, and the drama is grounded in contemporary Japan, where school hierarchies and online visibility collide. Its brief, focused run makes it a compact, emotionally charged watch for viewers drawn to underdog revenge and youth drama.
