## Synopsis

Outlast: The Jungle (2026-present) is an American reality competition series for Netflix, a survival show in the tradition of castaway competitions. Sixteen players, introduced in the cast as participants including Abby Chu, Ben Orndorff, Braxton Fish, Brett Johnson and Dave Cecchini, are dropped onto a remote tropical island where they must endure the elements while keeping a fragile team together. Their engine is a $1 million prize, and the obstacle is their own rivals, who must be outmaneuvered even as players depend on one another to eat, shelter and compete. The series is built from eight roughly fifty-six-minute episodes, a single season that follows the contestants through physical challenges, shifting alliances and strategic betrayals. Its tone is tense and sweaty, with moments of grit and camaraderie carried by the raw immediacy of unscripted footage. Fans of Survivor and Alone, and anyone drawn to competitive endurance and social strategy, will find the same appeal here, in a stripped-down jungle setting with nowhere to hide from one another.
