## Synopsis

Time Up (2022) is a Bengali-language Indian miniseries created by Arijit Sorkar and released on YouTube. Across six brisk episodes of roughly twenty-six minutes each, young Agricultural Officer Spandan (Kiran Dutta) travels to the village of Khataldingi in the middle of a tense COVID-era outbreak and finds the farmers trapped by Biju, a local agro mafia boss played by Sayan Ghosh. Biju forces every farmer to buy the substandard products he sells, ruining harvests and pushing desperate families toward ruin. Spandan falls ill in the village and is nursed back to health by Moni (Sreya Bhattacharya) and her brother Chitto (Amit Saha), who become his allies as he tries to gather testimony and win over local farmers. Biju responds with one scheme after another, and the engine of each episode is the race to build a case against him while a hidden pressure of time bends the situation around them. The show mixes a rural crime thriller with a time loop puzzle, grounded in dusty fields, village meetings and tense confrontations. Its tone is suspenseful and austere, with a strong sense of social injustice and rural hardship. Fans of Dark, Mare of Easttown and Happy Death Day will find resonance in its layered mystery and its grim, community-rooted stakes.
