## Synopsis

Buonvino - Misteri a Villa Borghese (2026) is an Italian crime mystery series created by Milena Cocozza for Rai 1. Deputy commissioner Giovanni Buonvino (Giorgio Marchesi) is transferred to command the police station inside Rome's Villa Borghese park, a posting he at first takes for a joke. Soon he discovers that the sprawling green space is a microcosm rich in secrets, crimes and unexplained mysteries, and each episode draws him into a fresh case among the park's visitors, workers and neighbours. Supporting roles are filled by Serena Iansiti, Francesco Colella, Matteo Olivetti, Daniela Scattolin, Ivan Zerbinati, Alberto Gimignani and Fabrizio Parenti. The show runs as a single season of four episodes, each about fifty-two minutes long, and it leans toward a self-contained case-of-the-week shape with a gently ironic, character-driven register. Its tone mixes wry humour with the civic texture of an Italian capital, where a dignified public official learns to take an unglamorous assignment seriously. Fans of Inspector Montalbano, Don Matteo and Twin Peaks will find resonance in its blend of local colour, small-town style intrigue and mystery.
