## Synopsis

Mi rival (2026-present) is a Mexican telenovela created by Carmen Armendáriz for Las Estrellas, produced by TelevisaUnivision Mexico. Paloma, married to a wealthy plantation owner, is drawn into a forbidden attraction to Renato, the young man brought in to manage the family estate, played by Sebastián Rulli. Alejandra Barros plays Paloma as the emotional center of the story, while Ela Velden plays Bárbara, Paloma's daughter, whose love for Renato sets the two women against each other. The engine of the series is the slow poisoning of a mother and daughter relationship, as each episode turns on jealousy, shifting loyalties, and the question of who will win the man they both want. Arturo Peniche, Martha Julia and Marco Treviño fill out a household where secrets and status matter as much as romance. The show runs as a single continuing story across 53 episodes of about 41 minutes each, following the classic soap tradition of cliffhanger endings and heightened emotion. Its tone is melodramatic and intimate, with a sense of wounded pride and passion inside a privileged estate. Fans of La usurpadora, Rubí and Mirada de mujer will find the same blend of romance, betrayal and family rivalry.
