## Synopsis

The Boy Next World: My Destiny (2026) is a Japanese miniseries adapted from a novel, produced for Fuji TV and streamed on FOD. The twelve-episode, 26-minute run follows an ordinary college student, played by Shoma Nagumo as Sara Kogami, whose quiet campus life is upended when a mysterious senior, Takuto Hamaya as Fu Yotsuba, insists that the two are lovers from a parallel world. Supporting principals include Souta Uemura as Jin Kano, Shugo Nakayama as Taiga Iimura and Yuka Tano as Yutori Yuzuki, whose friendships and rivalries widen the emotional stakes. The engine of the series is a slow, intimate romance tangled with a science fiction mystery about parallel selves, with each episode balancing tender moments against unsettling questions about what the characters remember and what they have lost. Its tone is wistful and romantic, with a fantasy hook that keeps the story restless. Viewers who enjoy parallel world romance, boys love dramas, or the emotional pull of Your Name and Ao Haru Ride will find a similar blend of longing and destiny. Its single season is a self-contained arc with a bittersweet close.
