## Synopsis

Always a Catch! (2026) is a Japanese anime romantic comedy series produced by TROYCA and TMS Entertainment, adapted from a light novel. Martial prodigy Maria Annovazzi (voiced by Yu Serizawa), a member of a legendary ducal family, loses her claim as heir and is ordered to marry into prestige, so she transfers to a neighboring kingdom. There she is publicly dumped at graduation by a prince she has never met, over an engagement she did not know existed. Renato di Rubini (voiced by Atsushi Tamaru) and Aida Ametis (voiced by Saori Hayami) orbit her increasingly tangled social world, while Placido di Rubini (voiced by Shuichiro Umeda) and Raimondo Cigata (voiced by Taku Yashiro) add scheming and sharp banter. Its single season of twelve episodes is built from fresh social snags: a slight at court, a forced betrothal, a rumor spreading through the academy, and Maria's stubborn pride turning every humiliation into a fight she intends to win. Set in an invented fantasy kingdom of aristocratic halls, academy grounds and ducal estates, the series keeps a brisk, witty pace and a warm, comforting tone. Fans of Akagami no Shirayuki-hime, Kaguya-sama: Love Is War and Ascendance of a Bookworm will find resonance in its playful reversals and noble court sparring.
