## Synopsis

Night and the Doctor (2011-2011) is a short-form US animated science fiction comedy series spun off from the long-running British franchise Doctor Who. The series, consisting of a single episode, follows the Doctor inside the TARDIS, the time machine that is his home, and asks what he does when his companions are asleep. Its engine is simple: a lone time traveler with a restless mind and a wardrobe of quirks fills the quiet hours with small adventures, odd discoveries, and self-amusing conversation with himself. Because the entire run is a single brief episode, it plays as a quick palate cleanser rather than a serialized arc, with no supporting cast to build on. The tone is whimsical, cozy and breezy, a light fan-made wink at the franchise's mythology rather than a dramatic chapter in it. Viewers who enjoy the playful sci fi of Adventure Time or the eccentric British time travel of Doctor Who will find a similar affectionate charm here, in a very small package.
