## Synopsis

Bloody Flower (2026) is a South Korean crime drama series created for Disney+ and adapted from a novel, a single-season limited series of eight roughly fifty-minute episodes. Its central figure is Lee Woo-gyeom (Ryeoun), a former medical school dropout who insists he can cure terminal illnesses and who sits on death row after being convicted of murdering seventeen people. Around him orbit Park Han-jun (Sung Dong-il), Cha Yi-yeon (Keum Sae-rok) and Kim Jae-hee (Lee Na-ra), whose lives are tangled with his claims and his crimes. The engine of the show is a stubborn question: whether the prisoner is a monstrous killer or a savior holding a cure for humanity, and each episode pries at the evidence, the testimony and the motives of those who believe him or fear him. The tone is dark, tense and morally unsettled, with a bleak prestige sheen and moments of disturbing violence. Its jumps between timelines keep the investigation unsettled rather than tidy. Fans of Signal, Mr. Sunshine and Dead Man Walking will find a similar blend of Korean crime storytelling, prison-bound moral weight and a protagonist who refuses easy judgment. The series is a compact, intense watch for viewers drawn to crime thrillers with a question at their core.
