## Synopsis

Sassy the Sasquatch (2022) is an Australian animated comedy series created by Jarrad Wright and released on YouTube. Wright also voices Sassy, the title sasquatch and former neighbor of Lez from the creator's earlier The Big Lez Show. Across six roughly ten-minute episodes, Sassy travels through space and time, meeting new and old friends, and treats each stop as a step in an earnest spiritual quest for self-discovery. Matt Terechow voices the aliens he encounters, adding to the offbeat cast. The engine of the show is Sassy's wandering mind: each episode is a self-contained detour where a strange world or odd companion pushes him toward some bit of enlightenment, and the jokes come from his sincere, slightly clueless pursuit of meaning. The format is a short, one-season run with a clear beginning and end, built for quick viewing. Set in no fixed historical era, the show moves through loosely imagined cosmic landscapes. Its tone is wacky, sardonic, and warmly absurd, with a surreal streak that will appeal to fans of Rick and Morty, Adventure Time, and Aqua Teen Hunger Force. It suits viewers who want a brief, silly animated detour with a sincere heart beneath the nonsense.
