## Synopsis

R.I.P. - Roast-in-Peace is an Italian comedy series made for Prime Video, running two seasons of short episodes. Its premise is gleefully macabre: famous Italian figures attend their own funerals, where a roster of living comedians takes the stage to deliver savage roasts. Stefano Rapone, Edoardo Ferrario, Beatrice Arnera, Eleazaro Rossi, Corrado Nuzzo and Maria Di Biase form the roasting ensemble, while Michela Giraud presides over each ceremony as host. The engine of every episode is the escalating sequence of jokes, each aimed at a guest forced to sit through their own memorial. Each season is built from self-contained funeral sessions rather than one continuing story, so the show plays well in short sittings. The tone is brash, irreverent and sardonic, with stand-up energy that treats celebrity reputation as fair game. Viewers who enjoy celebrity roasts, mockumentary satire and dark comedy about mortality will find a kindred mix of mockery and bite, delivering laughs until the final punchline.
