## Synopsis

Super Market (2026) is an Italian Prime Video comedy series created by the Il Terzo Segreto di Satira collective, written and directed as a single six-episode season of roughly 28-minute episodes. Following the chaotic staff and regular customers of Eury, a neighborhood supermarket facing closure, the series is built around Enrico, played by Alessandro Betti, and Anita, played by Marta Zoboli, along with Manlio (Francesco Arienzo), Sonia (Gaia Bavaro), and Max (Walter Leonardi). The engine is simple and sharp: a struggling local shop with too little money and too many personalities must find a way to survive while each character chases private ambitions and petty grudges. Each episode is a small comic crisis of the shop floor, from awkward customer encounters to staff squabbles, and the single season moves steadily toward the question of whether the store can keep its doors open. The tone blends absurdist slapstick with tragicomic undertones about economic precarity and the loneliness of ordinary workers. Italian comedy traditions of ensemble bickering and bittersweet observation run through it, and fans of The Office, Parks and Recreation, and Boris will find a similar pleasure in workplace absurdity and affectionate despair. It makes a light, quick watch with a melancholy undercurrent that rewards attentive viewing of its ensemble cast.
