## Synopsis

Kaiju Girl Caramelise (2026) is a Japanese animated romantic comedy series created for TBS, a single-season anime adaptation of a seinen manga. Kuroe Akaishi (voiced by Hikari Senga) wants nothing more than an ordinary high school life, but a rare condition transforms her into a giant kaiju whenever her emotions spike. Her crush on Arata Minami (voiced by Daishi Kajita), the most popular boy in class, becomes the engine of the show: every blush, racing heartbeat and confession threatens to set off a monster transformation and wreck the neighborhood around her. Her friends and family, including Manatsu Tomosato (voiced by Akira Sekine) and Raimu Kono (voiced by Haruka Shiraishi), help keep her secret while the comedy hinges on awkward school-day scenes and escalating collateral destruction. Across twelve 25-minute episodes, the series blends kaiju spectacle with the anxious, sweet mood of adolescent romance and a wry undercurrent about self-consciousness and body image. Its tone is breezy and playful but carries a tender vulnerability. Fans of Kaguya-sama: Love Is War, Monster Musume and Gunjou no Magma will find resonance in its mix of teen romance, monster comedy and visual exaggeration. It is a short, easy-to-binge anime that rewards viewers who enjoy romance with outsized stakes.
