## Synopsis

Needy Girl Overdose (2026) is a Japanese animated psychological drama broadcast on Gunma TV, TOKYO MX, BS11 and Tochigi TV. Its protagonist, the streamer OMGkawaiiAngel, known as KAngel and voiced by Sally Amaki, is determined to become the ultimate Internet Angel in a world where likes are currency and every viewer is a judge. Supporting voices include Rina Kawaguchi as Purple Lollipop, Satsuki Shiina as Michica Gokubara and Anna Nagase as Kache. The engine of the series is the pressure to keep a bright online persona alive while the pastel smile and lively streams hide something far less cheerful. Its thirteen episodes carry that tension through live stream sessions, fan reactions and private moments away from the camera, playing as one continuing story rather than a case of the week. The setting is contemporary internet culture, blending the anime mood of a vtuber world with a sharp critique of a platform-driven age. Its tone is brittle, anxious and intimate, a glossy surface cracking under strain. Fans of Serial Experiments Lain and Oshi no Ko will find resonance in its digital identity and fan obsession, and viewers of Black Mirror will recognise its unease about online approval.
