## Synopsis

My Daughter's Father (2026) is a Mexican limited series created by Roberto Stopello for Netflix, a ten-episode drama of roughly forty-three minutes per installment. The story opens at a graduation party, where a young woman named Julieta (Azul Guaita) suffers a life-threatening health crisis that throws her family into turmoil. Her mother, Maca, is the emotional center of the series, and as the emergency unfolds she is pushed to confront long-buried secrets from her own past. Principal supporting roles go to Paola Nuñez as Yolanda, Sebastián Dante as Gustavo, and Silvia Navarro as Macarena, whose relationships tangle with the revelations. Each episode peels back another layer of the family's history while the crisis at the center keeps the stakes immediate and physical. The engine of the show is less a puzzle than a slow reckoning: who knew what, and what the truth will cost the people who love Julieta. The atmosphere is intimate and emotionally heavy, with melodramatic swings, tender family moments, and a steady undercurrent of grief and guilt. Set in contemporary Mexico, it is a single, self-contained story rather than an episodic format. Fans of Big Little Lies, Jane the Virgin and Pequeñas Mentiras will find resonance in its blend of family secrets and telenovela-inflected emotion.
