## Synopsis

Radar (2026) is a Russian science fiction mystery series created by Konstantin Smirnov for Okko. Set in 1988 in a small Soviet town sitting in the shadow of a powerful missile defense radar, the story follows three ordinary sixth graders, Lech, Tolya and Sema, who set out into the forest in search of a meteorite that promises fame. When Lech gets lost, the police search that follows sets off a chain of events that draws one of the locals into contact with something very strange. Played by Matvey Kulagin, Георгий Пытьев and Rostislav Kharin, the young leads anchor a single-season story told across nine episodes of roughly 48 minutes each. The show trades spectacle for atmosphere, building its unease from quiet forests, bureaucratic secrecy and believable human reactions. Its tone is eerie and wistful, with childhood wonder shading into dread. Fans of Stranger Things, Chernobyl and Dark will find resonance in its nostalgic 1980s mood, its slow burn mystery and its grounded take on the strange.
