## Synopsis

S&X (2026) is a Japanese romance drama series created for Netflix, a limited series of seven episodes running about 44 minutes each. Its protagonist, sex therapist Ichito Shimotori (Kento Nakajima), runs a clinic where he treats diverse and intimate sexual issues with sincerity and care. Surrounding him are principal characters played by Yuko Araki as Yumi Ichinose, Ryota Miura as Yuta Saigawa, and Sawako Fujima as Marin Natsume, whose lives intersect with his practice. The engine of the show is the tension between the professional composure Ichito maintains with his patients and a private struggle he hides from everyone around him. Each episode is built around a client's concrete, personal dilemma, and the season gradually lets the cracks in his own life show. Set in contemporary Tokyo, the atmosphere is intimate, candid and humane, treating sexuality with frankness and warmth rather than titillation. The tone blends tender romance with quiet emotional drama. Viewers who enjoy the clinical candor of In Treatment or the frank adult romance of Japanese dramas on streaming will find resonance here.
