## Synopsis

Popular Serizawa Acts Weird Around Me (2026) is a Japanese high school romcom miniseries aired on YTV, adapted from a novel and built around boys' love. Lonely teen Hajime Suzuki (Kosaku Koizumi) secretly writes a romance novel about his popular classmate Haruto Serizawa (Ryoto Shisaka), but the plan collapses when Haruto reads it and becomes intensely fixated on him in real life. The engine of the eleven 25-minute episodes is the awkward push and pull between a quiet loner and a charismatic boy who suddenly cannot stop chasing him, with the friend group of Tomoaki Takeuchi (Kaiki Kimura) and Yuma Saeki (Shotaro Tanaka) providing a lively backdrop of school crowd antics. Set in a contemporary Japanese high school, the miniseries is a single self-contained season with a light, sweet, flustered register that leans into comedy while letting the tenderness of first attraction surface. Its mix of playful misunderstanding and earnest romance will appeal to fans of Horimiya, Kaguya-sama: Love Is War and Given, who enjoy coming of age stories where the social hierarchy is turned upside down.
