## Synopsis

Jesse & Joy: What We Never Said Before (2025) is a Argentine-produced documentary miniseries created by Joy Huerta and Jesse Huerta for HBO Max. Across four roughly half-hour episodes, the Mexican sibling pop duo Jesse & Joy speak directly to the camera about the private conflicts that shaped who they became as people and as musicians. Jesse Huerta and Joy Huerta appear as themselves, and the series also features Juan Luis Guerra and Luis Fonsi, both credited as themselves, situating the duo within the wider world of Latin pop. Rather than a conventional concert film, the docuseries is built from confessional interviews that circle back to family history, the pressures of a long partnership, and the songwriting that grew out of those tensions. The mood is candid and reflective, with moments of vulnerability and warmth balanced against the hard honesty of an artist confronting old wounds. Viewers who enjoy intimate music documentaries about performers in the vein of Demi Lovato: Simply Complicated, Amy and Beyonce: Life Is But a Dream will find the same frank self-portraiture here. The series is an intimate, unvarnished portrait of a sibling act reckoning with its own story in public.
