## Synopsis

My Royal Nemesis (2026) is a South Korean fantasy romcom miniseries created by Kang Hyun-joo for SBS. Im Ji-yeon plays Shin Seo-ri, a Joseon-era villainess doomed to die who awakens in present-day Seoul, and her shifting identity as Kang Dan-sim ties her to the past. Heo Nam-jun plays Cha Se-gye, a ruthless chaebol heir whose old rivalry with her carries into the modern world, and Jang Seung-jo appears as Choi Mun-do, a figure linked to the royal court of her earlier life. The engine of the story is her struggle to escape a fate already written, as she navigates boardrooms, family feuds and palace-era grudges while trying to rewrite the ending she was given. Told across fourteen episodes of roughly seventy minutes in a single continuous arc, the series moves between the glittering towers of modern Seoul and the intrigue-heavy courts of the Joseon dynasty. Its tone is playful and sharp, mixing witty banter with rivalry-fueled romantic tension and a light historical comedy sensibility. Fans of Crash Landing on You, Mr. Queen and The Heirs will find resonance in its blend of romance, reincarnation and class-conscious comedy. The show is a tvN-style k-drama tradition offered through SBS, where romance and fantasy meet a playful look at power and destiny.
