## Synopsis

Cathedrals (Catedrales, 2026) is a Mexican and American Spanish-language crime drama series created by Claudia Piñeiro and Pablo Culell and released on Prime Video. Alfredo Castro plays Adolfo Sardá, and Paulina García plays Dolores, a family determined to piece together the truth about a teenage girl found burned and dismembered in an empty lot. Octavia Bernasconi plays Ana Sardá, and Ignacia Baeza and Vivianne Dietz play Lia Sardá across adult and young timelines, while Amparo Noguera and Paula Luchsinger play Carmen. The engine of the story is a family attempting to solve a murder that police negligence allowed to go unpunished for thirty years, sifting through old evidence, memories and half-hidden relationships. The series unfolds as a single six-episode limited series of roughly forty minutes each, with intersecting timelines that move between the original crime and the present reckoning. Set in a middle-class neighborhood of Santiago, Chile, it carries a tense, melancholic and restrained tone, with domestic unease running beneath the surface of a respectable community. Fans of The Killing, Mystic River and The Night Of will find resonance in its patient unraveling of a cover-up and its look at how a family's comfortable façade hides a cruel truth.
