## Synopsis

Rififi (2025-2026) is a Greek crime drama miniseries created by Vassilis Risvas and Dimitra Sakali for Cosmote TV. Loosely inspired by the notorious 1992 bank robbery in Athens, it follows a crew of working-class robbers led by Nikos (Vassilis Haralambopoulos) and his partner Vakis (Panos Vlahos), with Michalis (Prometheus Aleifer), Olga (Evaggelia Moumouri) and Manolis (Hristos Hatzipanagiotis) drawn into a plan whose stakes grow with every step. The engine of the story is practical and human: the crew must gather money, nerve and cover while the people they love and the police they fear close in around them. Across six 45-minute episodes, the series builds its heist in careful, methodical stages, with each episode focused on a planning problem, a personal entanglement or a moment of near-collapse. Because it is a single continuous story, order matters and the arc arrives in one complete run. Its register mixes tragicomic caper energy with real emotional weight, offering warmth, sardonic humor and moments of genuine tragedy. Fans of Money Heist and Peaky Blinders will find resonance in its ensemble of flawed criminals and its interest in how ordinary lives get pulled into extraordinary crime. The series is set in 1990s Athens, a city of crowded streets, cramped apartments and tense public life.
