## Synopsis

The Blame (2026) is a British six-episode crime drama series created by Megan Gallagher, Namsi Khan and Ashley Sanders for ITVX. Detectives Tom Radley (Douglas Booth) and Emma Crane (Michelle Keegan) work a murder case in a small town, where the victim is a figure skater. As they follow the investigation, they fall in love, and that romance is pulled into the case when one of them becomes a suspect. Ian Hart plays DCI Kenneth Walker, supervising the inquiry and adding institutional pressure to the personal tension. Each episode moves through interviews, alibis and fraying loyalties inside a tight community where everyone seems to know something. The engine is simple and gripping: a partnership built on trust must survive the question of who is lying. The show is a single, self-contained limited series, its story unfolding across six episodes of about fifty minutes each. Its tone mixes tense, suspicious procedural drama with a warmer, romantic undercurrent. Viewers who enjoy Broadchurch and The Killing, with their small-town murder investigations and emotionally strained detectives, will find much to like here.
