## Synopsis

Prisoner (2026) is a British crime thriller series created by Matt Charman for Sky Atlantic. Tahar Rahim plays Tibor Stone, a figure at the center of a battle for the criminal underworld, while Izuka Hoyle plays Amber Todd, an ambitious young prison officer who finds herself caught between rival crime lords trying to evade justice. Her engine is simple and urgent: she wants to put dangerous men behind bars, but to survive and get what she needs she must learn to place her faith in one of the very men she was meant to lock away. Each of the six episodes of this single-season limited run moves quickly through shifting alliances, double crosses and the constant risk of exposure, with the pressure of a manhunt always close behind. Set in contemporary Britain, the story unfolds in prisons, safe houses and the rain-slicked backstreets where rival gangs operate. The tone is suspenseful, intense and morally murky, as every loyalty is provisional and every choice carries a cost. Fans of Line of Duty, Peaky Blinders and The Wire will find resonance in its tense institutional corruption and cat and mouse dread.
