## Synopsis

Golden Boys (2026) is a Swedish crime drama miniseries created by Erik Hultkvist for TV4. Set in 1997 Stockholm, it follows eco-criminal Joachim Posener (Adam Lundgren), freshly out of prison and determined to build an empire that will earn back the respect of his parents and his seven-year-old son. He teams up with his boundless cousin Thomas Jisander (Erik Svedberg-Zelman), and together they style themselves the Golden Boys, partying hard while plotting an extremely illegal business scheme. Supporting characters including Peter Mattsson (Viktor Björkberg), Gunnar Lindstedt (Jonas Karlsson), and Mats Svegfors (Johan Paulsen) orbit the pair as their ambitions escalate. The series runs four episodes of roughly 44 minutes each, a single compact arc rather than a long saga. Its tone is fast-paced, dramatic and glossy, with a seductive sheen of money and nightlife that contrasts with the risk of exposure. Loosely inspired by the Trustor affair, it carries the feel of a Swedish financial crime drama in the spirit of The Big Short and Ozark, with a restless, bittersweet energy throughout.
