## Synopsis

The Dinosaurs (2026) is a British and American co-produced documentary miniseries created for Netflix, running four episodes of roughly 48 minutes each. Narrated by Morgan Freeman, it follows the long arc of dinosaur life from the earliest species to the last, tracing the 165 million years these animals dominated the planet. Rather than a single creature study, each episode moves through the forces that shaped their evolution, including climate shifts, continental drift, and the catastrophic mass extinctions that reshaped the living world. Animated reconstructions bring ancient landscapes and creatures to life, so viewers watch prehistoric ecosystems unfold in vivid, colorful detail. The tone is awe-filled and hopeful, with a steady, reverent curiosity about deep time and the resilience of life. Fans of Planet Earth, Walking with Dinosaurs, and Cosmos: A Spacetime Odyssey will find the same sweeping scale and narrated wonder. Its accessible, family-friendly approach suits viewers who want a grand, informative journey into the Mesozoic era without any dense technical demands.
