## Synopsis

Therapy Game (2025) is a Japanese miniseries created by Meguru Hinohara and broadcast on Nippon TV, adapted from a manga and produced by Video Planning. Photographer Minato Mito (Kida Naoya) makes a wager after a one-night stand: he will win over Shizuma Ikushima (Yuki Tomita), a heartbroken veterinary student still reeling from a breakup. What begins as a playful game grows tangled as Minato's own history and feelings get in the way, and the nine episodes of this short run keep circling the pull between the two men. Family history and personal wounds shape how each of them guards his heart, and the supporting cast, including Itsuki Mito (Ryuga Sato) and Shohei Ikushima (Hayato Maruo), widens the emotional web around them. Set in contemporary Tokyo, the series moves through intimate conversations, awkward encounters and quiet reversals with a mix of tenderness, angst and wry humor. Its tone is sincere and bittersweet, with a melancholic undertow beneath the romance. Fans of Given and Ossan's Love, and viewers drawn to slow-burn romantic dramas about two men finding each other, will find resonance here.
