## Synopsis

Until the T-Shirt Dries (2026) is a Japanese television limited series created by Nobuhiro Doi for TBS, produced with K-Factory. Its story follows a happily married editor, Sakiko Seo (Yu Aoi), whose calm life is shattered when a sudden summer accident draws her and her husband Mitsuru Seo (Kenichi Matsuyama) into a web involving another couple, Itsuki Sonoda (Ayumu Nakajima) and Azusa Sonoda (Kaho). Supporting roles are filled by Naoto Yano (Fumiya Takahashi) and Koji Miyauchi (Lily Franky), whose own choices complicate the aftermath. The engine of the series is Sakiko's attempt to understand what her husband has been hiding while grief and everyday selfishness pull the four adults further apart. Each of the ten episodes of roughly forty four minutes peels back another layer of the accident's consequences, built on conversations, small domestic betrayals and quiet confrontations rather than action. Set in contemporary Japan, the drama unfolds across ordinary suburban rooms, office corridors and the sticky heat of a summer that refuses to end. Its tone is melancholic and restrained, a slow burn of unease in which sympathy and suspicion trade places. Fans of Big Little Lies, The Affair and Little Fires Everywhere will find resonance in its portrait of fractured households and buried secrets.
