## Synopsis

El Mochaorejas (2026) is a Mexican crime drama miniseries created for ViX, a single-season limited series of twelve episodes. Damián Alcázar plays Daniel Arizmendi, the gang figure whose ambition turns him into the feared nickname that gives the show its title, while Paulina Gaitán, Enoc Leaño and Giovanna Zacarías portray the people orbiting his criminal world. The engine of the story is a climb built on bribed officials, intimidation and a frightened public that looks away, so each episode tracks another deal, betrayal or act of menace that widens the gang's grip. Set in 1990s Mexico, the series builds a tense, grimy atmosphere of corrupt institutions and everyday fear. Its tone is harrowing and propulsive, with a grounded, documentary-leaning eye on how crime takes root. Fans of Narcos and Pablo Escobar, El Patron del Mal will find resonance in its portrait of cartel-era power and the price of silence, and viewers drawn to brutal true-crime-inspired sagas will recognize its dark, character-driven pull.
