## Synopsis

Fake Fact Lips (2026) is a Japanese miniseries created by Machi Suehiro for BS Fuji and FOD. Adapted from a webcomic, this ten-episode boys' love romance follows Ryo Yotsuya (Kaito Hori) and Zen Shido (Yusuke Sato), former high school rivals who end up working at the same company. Their rivalry flares back to life through petty office competitions and a wager over which of them will fall in love first. Supporting roles include Yuya Futami (Amon Hirai) and Yuma Onishi (Zaitsu Yutaro), who orbit the pair's daily sparring. The engine of the story is the gap between what the two men show each other and what they feel, as their banter at the desk slowly gives way to a relationship they must keep hidden from colleagues. Each half-hour episode is built from small workplace skirmishes, quiet moments of recognition, and the awkward tension of a secret crush. The series plays as a short, light workplace romance with a warm, wistful tone, its emotional register carried by glances and understatement rather than melodrama. Fans of Kaguya-sama: Love Is War and Hyouka will find resonance in its office setting, its rivalry-driven courtship, and its gentle comic timing. Set in contemporary Japan, it is a compact, self-contained romance designed for a single sitting.
