## Synopsis

Unexpectedly Naughty Fukami (2026) is a Japanese boys love miniseries created by Ayaka Matsumoto and broadcast on TOKYO MX and DMM TV. The ten-episode limited series follows office rivals Akihiro Kaji, played by Kashio Atsuki, and Yu Fukami, played by Yu Miyazaki, whose carefully maintained professional personas begin to slip during a business trip. What starts as a simple stay becomes a casual arrangement between two men who each assumed the other was merely a colleague, and that arrangement gradually tangles into genuine feeling. The engine of the story is the gap between how these two present themselves at the office and what they want in private, with each short episode of roughly thirteen minutes built around awkward encounters, guarded confessions and the small moments where composure cracks. The result is a compact slice of life romance set in contemporary Japanese corporate life, with a light, sincere and occasionally bashful register. Its focus is intimate and character driven rather than dramatic, and it rewards viewers who enjoy slow emotional build and workplace tension. Fans of Given, Sweet Sweet Sweet and Kiss Me Doctor will find a similar mix of tender romance and everyday office setting.
