## Synopsis

Candy (2026) is a Singaporean-produced Chinese-language GL romance miniseries created for GagaOOLala, running eight episodes of about thirty minutes each. Wen Nuannuan (Sun Yanqing) is the girl her former lover left behind in youth, now returning as an assistant under the glare of fame. Lin Can (Lu Xin) leads the story alongside Wen Nuannuan, and the two escape the city to join a rural reality show when public scrutiny closes in. Meanwhile, veteran manager Si Han (Ke Xin) and superstar Jiang Wan (Zhang Ruiyi) are locked in a fierce game of love and power, tangled in workplace rivalry and unresolved past feelings. The engine of the series is the push and pull between what the characters want and what the industry lets them keep: each episode trades in tenderness, cruelty, sincerity and calculation as the romances test loyalty. Its shape is a single continuing season rather than a case-of-the-week format, and it reads as a compact emotional drama. The setting is a contemporary entertainment industry, with urban glamour giving way to rural retreat. Tones of tender and cruel intimacy run through the story. Fans of Yuri on Ice, Single Lady and Glee will find resonance in its romance-under-pressure mix of glamour and bruised feeling.
