## Synopsis

Four Hands, Two Sonatas (2026) is a South Korean television drama created by Shin Yi-won for tvN, produced by Studio Dragon and Namoo Actors. Its story follows Kang Pi-o (Song Kang) and Choi Jeong-yo (Lee Jun-young), two young pianists from completely different worlds who meet at an elite music high school, where their rivalry and friendship slowly tangle together. Jang Gyu-ri, Yoon Se-a and Jung Jin-young (as Hong Jae-in, Kang Ji-hye and Kang Seung-woon) round out a principal cast of classmates and family. Each of the twelve hour-long episodes is built around the daily pressures of practice rooms, competitions and orchestra rehearsals, where ambition and personal history press on every note. The series is a single contained run that keeps its focus on the intimate push and pull between its two leads. Its tone is wistful and tender, with moments of sharp tension and quiet longing carried by the music itself. Fans of Your Lie in April, Whiplash and Sing Street will find resonance in its portrait of gifted young musicians bound together by competition, devotion and the pain of perfectionism. Set in contemporary South Korea, it suits viewers who want a romantic, music-driven story with emotional depth and no easy answers.
