## Synopsis

Marvel's Hit-Monkey (2021-2024) is an American adult animated action comedy series created by Will Speck and Josh Gordon for Hulu, produced under Marvel Television. Fred Tatasciore voices the title hitman known only as Monkey, an assassin who, after a political killing goes sideways, hides out injured among a tribe of snow monkeys in the mountains of Japan. Jason Sudeikis voices Bryce, a figure from the criminal world whose pursuit keeps dragging the hitman back into danger, while Olivia Munn voices Akiko and Ally Maki voices Haruka, both tied to the local community around the mountains. The engine is simple: the hitman wants peace and recovery, but every episode pulls him back into violent contract work and enemies who will not let him rest. Across two seasons of ten episodes each, the show mixes bloody set pieces with quiet scenes of an unlikely animal friendship, so each episode feels like a flash of action followed by deadpan downtime. Set in a contemporary Japanese mountain landscape, it plays with the gap between a hardened killer and a gentle animal setting. Its tone is irreverent, gory, and wry, with a sardonic streak and a raw, adult edge. Fans of Invincible, Killing Eve and Hot Fuzz will find resonance in its blend of brutal action, black humor and an outsider antihero. The series was canceled, leaving its story unfinished.
