## Synopsis

Twee Zomers is a Belgian Flemish-language mystery drama limited series in which a circle of old friends regroups thirty years after a fatal accident during a summer holiday. What begins as a nostalgic reunion in a quiet rural retreat turns tense when some of them are blackmailed with footage from that fateful week. The show moves between the present day and the younger selves of the group, letting memory and guilt surface in fragments. Its tone is wistful and melancholic, with an undercurrent of dread as loyalties strain and old wounds reopen. Rather than a whodunit driven by spectacle, it is a slow, character-focused unravelling of complicity, friendship and the stories people tell to protect themselves. The ensemble performances carry much of the weight, as the adult characters are forced to reconsider who they became after that summer. Viewers who enjoy layered emotional drama, buried secrets and atmospheric small-town unease will find much to admire in its restrained, carefully paced storytelling across a single complete season.
