## Synopsis

Everything Calls for Salvation (Tutto chiede salvezza, 2022-2024) is an Italian psychiatric drama series created by Francesco Bruni and produced for Netflix. Federico Cesari plays Daniele, a young man who spends a single week confined in a psychiatric ward, and Andrea Pennacchi plays Mario, one of the patients who becomes a central companion. The engine of the story is Daniele's struggle to find his footing among five fellow patients while contending with research-minded doctors who treat the ward as a laboratory and nurses who have grown cynical from long shifts. Episodes unfold through small daily frictions, group conversations, quiet confessions and the rhythms of institutional routine. The series runs two seasons across twelve episodes of roughly forty-six minutes each, following one continuing story rather than isolated cases. Its setting is a contemporary Italian psychiatric unit, rendered with an intimate, unsentimental eye. The tone blends gallows humor with tenderness, grounding its treatment of illness in ordinary human bonds. Viewers drawn to One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, Girl, Interrupted and In Treatment will find a similar humane attention to damaged people inside an institution.
