## Synopsis

Voltes V: Legacy (2023) is a Philippine live-action science fiction series created by Aloy Adlawan for GMA Network, a television remake of a Japanese super robot anime. The story follows three brothers, Steve, Big Bert and Little Jon Armstrong, and their friends Jamie Robinson and Mark Gordon, played in the cast by Miguel Tanfelix, Matt Lozano, Raphael Landicho, Ysabel Ortega and Radson Flores. Their engine is a fight against the Boazanians, humanoid aliens who plan to invade Earth and launch beast fighters across the world. Each episode is built from battle sequences with heavy computer-generated robot combat, political maneuvering and personal grudges, all pulled forward by a rivalry between the Armstrong family and the enemy house of Zardoz. The series runs as a single season of ninety half-hour episodes, a daily weekday serial with one continuing story rather than standalone cases. Its tone is earnest and adventurous, with flashes of romance, loyalty and thirst for freedom running beneath the spectacle. Set in an invented world rather than a specific real era, it mixes space opera scale with family melodrama. Fans of Voltes V, Mazinger Z and Power Rangers will find resonance in its mix of giant robot action, brotherhood and alien war.
