## Synopsis

Berlin, Berlin is a German national-television romantic comedy series created by David Safier for Das Erste, running from 2002 to 2005 across four seasons. Carlotta Lolle Holzmann anchors a circle of young friends in Berlin, including Sven Ehlers, Sarah Hermann and Lenny, whose romantic entanglements, career worries and shared living arrangements drive the story forward. Lolle wants love and a stable footing in the city, and each episode is built from small misunderstandings, flirtations and friendships that complicate her plans. The show follows a serialized daily format in which romantic threads carry from one episode to the next. It belongs to the German public broadcasting tradition of accessible, evening entertainment. Its tone is breezy, warm and playful, with a comic edge and a hopeful view of young adulthood. The setting is contemporary Berlin, a city of cafes, apartments, offices and nightlife. Fans of Gilmore Girls, Sex and the City and Druck will find resonance in its ensemble romance and urban youth focus.
