## Synopsis

Reincarnated as a Sword (2022-present) is a Japanese animated isekai fantasy series that aired on TOKYO MX. The story follows a sentient magical sword who keeps the memories of a past life but has lost his name, and the young cat-eared beastgirl Fran (voiced by Ai Kakuma) whom he rescues from slavery and chooses as his wielder. Fran wants nothing more than to grow stronger, while the sword, voiced by Shin-ichiro Miki as Master, is driven by the question of why he was reborn at all. Their partnership is the engine of the show: they take on monsters, dungeons and hired jobs in a fantasy world where the power of a weapon is measured by the will of the person wielding it. Episodes mix combat with lighthearted banter, gentle comedy and quiet reflection on identity and belonging. Animated with a bright, colorful look, the series moves at an easygoing pace and is currently still airing, with two seasons so far. Fans of That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime and Re:Zero will find resonance in its reincarnation premise, while those who enjoy Delicious in Dungeon will appreciate the mentor and apprentice dynamic at its heart.
