## Synopsis

The Legend of Anle (2023) is a Chinese historical romance drama series created by Xing Ling and broadcast on Youku. Dilraba Dilmurat plays Ren Anle, a spirited and enchanting female pirate who sails into the capital with a fleet of thirty thousand soldiers and announces she will marry none other than the crown prince. Gong Jun plays Crown Prince Han Ye, a determined royal who secretly carries a mission to rescue the last surviving member of a family convicted of treason a decade earlier and imprisoned in Daishan. The engine of the series is the push and pull between Ren Anle's bold, witty pursuit and Han Ye's guarded resolve, as court politics, old loyalties and the buried crime that destroyed the Di family press against their growing bond. Each episode weaves palace maneuvering with flirtatious sparring and sharper moments of wit. Presented as a single 39-episode season of roughly 45 minutes each, it moves as one continuing story rather than a case of the week. Set in an ancient imperial China of courts and fleets, the tone is romantic and buoyant, with a current of melancholy running beneath. Fans of Nirvana in Fire and The Story of MingLan will find resonance here.
