## Synopsis

Rebelde (2022) is a Mexican teen musical drama series created by the Cris Morena Group for Netflix, a Spanish-language reboot of the Rebelde franchise. Set at the elite Elite Way School, the story follows a new generation of students, led by Jana Cohen Gandía (Azul Guaita) and Luka Colucci (Franco Masini), as they pursue romance, rivalry and a shot at winning the Battle of the Bands. Principal supporting characters include Estebán Torres (Sergio Mayer Mori), Andrea Chaparro as María José Sevilla, and Jerónimo Cantillo as Dixon Alvarez, whose intertwined loyalties and friendships drive each episode. Each episode builds on musical rehearsals, performances and clashes over the school's hidden secret society, so the drama moves through songs, competition and emotional confessions. Across two seasons of sixteen episodes in total, the series pairs bright pop numbers with melodramatic romance and teen anxieties. Its tone is glossy, sincere and high-energy, with a playful sensibility that resonates with fans of Elite, Glee and Gossip Girl. Viewers looking for a soapy, music-filled teen series set in a glamorous boarding school will find its blend of dance, romance and rivalry engaging.
