## Synopsis

New Heights (2021-present) is a Swiss German-language national television family drama created by Marianne Wendt for SRF 1, produced by Zodiac Pictures. Business consultant Michi Wyss (Julian Koechlin) inherits his late father's troubled farm and must confront the rural past he left behind, while balancing the demands of his wife Sarah Wyss (Sophie Hutter) and the wider Wyss family, including Angelina Wyss (Anouk Petri), Trudi Wyss (Marlise Fischer) and Lorenz Wyss (Jérôme Humm). Across three seasons of eight episodes each, the engine of the series is the tug between a polished city career and the debts, feuds and land that wait back home, as each episode turns on everyday farm decisions that expose old family wounds. The tone is earnest and grounded, with a quiet, contemplative atmosphere that foregrounds the emotional stakes of inheritance and belonging. It is a character-driven domestic drama in the spirit of Heartland and Brothers & Sisters, suited to viewers who enjoy family sagas rooted in landscape and obligation.
