## Synopsis

Orelsan: Never Show This to Anyone (2021-2022) is a French documentary docuseries created by Clément Cotentin and Christophe Offenstein and distributed on Prime Video. Across two seasons and ten episodes, it follows Aurelien Cotentin, the young middle-class man from Caen who becomes the rapper Orelsan, with the artist himself alongside his collaborators Skread, Gringe, Ablaye and Clément Cotentin appearing as themselves. The engine of the series is a man with an uncertain future starting from the bottom, building a career through rap friendships, hardship and public controversy, while his admiring younger brother keeps the camera running. The episodes are assembled from intimate home-video style footage, interviews and archival moments that trace a regional outsider's climb into one of the most popular French artists of his generation. The series is set in the early 2000s in provincial Normandy and moves through studio sessions, local crews and the pressures of fame. Its tone is candid, reflective and often wry, with a grounded sense of ambition and self-doubt. Fans of Searching for Sugar Man, Amy and Beef will find resonance in its blend of personal access and the rise of an artist against the odds. The series is a compact, intimate portrait of a rap career and the cost of becoming a public figure.
