## Synopsis

Once We Get Married (2021) is a Chinese web romance drama series created by Nian Hua Fu Liu for Tencent Video. Fashion buyer Gu Xixi (Wang Yuwen) sources couture wedding dresses for her clients, and after a chance encounter at a private reception she is drawn into a temporary contract arrangement with Yin Sichen (Wang Ziqi), a sharp-tongued business president who seems cold and calculating. Their deal is meant to be a practical win-win for a business matter, but the two personalities clash constantly while the arrangement keeps stretching into everyday life. The engine of the show is the push and pull between the contract's rules and the feelings that refuse to stay on the paperwork, played out through workplace negotiations, social obligations, and the small domestic moments a pretend marriage forces on two people who would rather not be vulnerable. Across a single season of twenty-four episodes, the story unfolds as one continuing romance with a steady emotional arc rather than standalone cases. The tone is light and sweet, with playful banter, wistful longing, and a comforting, cozy warmth. Fans of Meteor Garden, Fight for Love and Hidden Love will find resonance in its contract-to-romance arc, glossy urban settings, and gently comic rivalry.
